Test Drove 6th Gen zl1 ahhhh

Hey Guys,

I have a FBO Tuned Loud ass Hell 14 camaro ss. I went to the dealer in boredem and test drove an all 2017 Black 6th Gen zl1 with the 10speed. As i was test driving it, the salesman gave me the thumbs up to drive it like I stole it. I floored it from 40, 50 and 60 in the open street and got it to like 100 easy.
All though the pulls were really nice and smooth and that extra pull from the supercharger was cool, I wasnt amazed like i thought i would be. Too be honest I didn't feel no difference at all and Actually my car felt more rowdy then the zl1 supringsly. I obviously know the zl1 is way faster and would probably feel the difference in the long stretch, but im just curious of maybe why I wasnt so amazed as I thought it would be. Anybody experience this also or have similiar experiences? Also the 6th gen felt more like a track/sports car and my 5th gen feels like a old school muscle car. 2 different feels

Ok, but could you bump the key with your knee and shut the 6th gen down?
Cause thats a pretty neat feature we got.

The lack of noise will make it feel slower and the added noise makes yours feel faster.

Try those pulls on a twisty mountain road. You'll see the difference.

Remember, these cars are built for your average consumer, not people that are into heavy modding. Now of course with the ZL1 they expect to get more experienced, track use focused owners, but they still build them to be something that can be daily driven if needed and with a certain level of refinement.

What I am trying to say, they take great strides in reducing NVH and making these cars as user friendly as possible. Yes, they are fast, but they are also refined - to an extent.

One thing I can say about my car (and many other rides here) is she is NOT refined. She is a snotty, loud, obnoxious, hard shifting, twitchy-throttled, and choppy-idling beast. Not something your everyday driver would really tolerate or be able to handle for long. Me? I freaking love it!

But I know I would love the hell out of a new ZL1 too
