Well back to this s**t again. Another cam that won't fit into my motor!!! if I didn't have bad luck I'd have none at all.

I could feel plain as day burrs all over this cam. Plus I'm questioning that it's even a cam motion core! My current cam motion is a copper color and this looks like a regular old 5150 core. Looks like I will be having cam motion grind me one directly again.

The best part of it all was btr's response... take it to a machine shop and have them polish it. REALLY!

End of rant!

On a positive note my little press was able to seat the adm pulley

BTR I believe uses Comp by default. That is a shame. I find the response a bit surprising as BTR is top notch.

Glad to see the press is working! Do you have it on the snout yet? Can't tell from the pics. Do you have a pic of the cam?

Well after measuring the stock cam, my current and the btr cam. The btr cam is 2 thousands bigger. My fastest bet is sadly to have my machine shop polish it. Otherwise I'll be another week out! He will have it done today or tomorrow morning for sure.

Yes, all seated On the snout!

Thanks, Don!

Ok, I got a lot done today given the circumstances! I had the machine shop take .0015 off the cam, and it slid in like butter! Best part is btr reimbursed my the cost of the polish! At least they redeemed themselves!

after that fiasco...

Crank is now pinned, the 3 sections of harness that needed extended are soldered and wrapped. valve covers are back on!

I got 7 packages from various vendors today, needless to say I will be very busy!

Heat exchanger, reservoir, and injectors will be here Thursday which i will mount the blower then.

I will test fit the 4l80 one last time and verify that the ez tcu plug will clear my frame cuts.

Your goal is achievable pretty easy with your parts list. I could have done a little better on my power. GMPP heads bumped my compression, so it removed some of the ability for power. If you haven't installed the heads yet, talk to Andy and see what he thinks about it.

Heads have been on the car for a while. I'm using ls9 headgaskets and arp head bolts. The ls9 headgaskets are slightly thicker than the ls3 gaskets. Stock ls3 heads are 70cc? And gmpp heads are 68cc

The bump in compression is slight, but I plan on running a can of torco accelerator every fill up. Should be a nice safety net

Lost the ability for power? Nothing boost and good fuel wont surpass. I have the same heads and 10 psi boost and it is not hurting my power. You went with driveability correct? That came with a cam choice. Now with the cam i went with it will bleed compression off a bit. Bigger cubes and certain cam choices like compression a bit more. But that is the choice we have to make. Driveability or mote power.

Another productive day, got the blower mounted, all of the belt stuff on. The kit came with a 102 and it was out of range with the tensioner, so I bought a 101, it's in range but it's close to the edge of the marks so I will be trying a 100 most likely!.

Test fit the trans, I ended up take another inch in height out of my existing cut. Also mocked up a b&m quicksilver shifter. It is one tall shifter! I'm going to have 3-4 inches taken out of the shifter shaft to get it looking ok.

Im happy with how it's turning out!!!

Just an fyi, I'd really consider br30 for breakin of the cam. Not sure if you've considered that or not...

I was never a believer in roller cams needing a break in! i just lube it up. I do use the ls30 oil though. Can't wait to get it on the dyno!!!

I was told I wouldn't have the converter until the end of the month though

Also do you happen to have a picture of how the bypass for the blower gets routed?

Also where is a good place to hook into for the bap?
