Need some help Fender damage

So let my wife drive the car, her third time ever, and she gets hit in a parking lot. Got an estimate today for $900, seems a bit high. Any suggestions other than not allowing my wife to drive the car

were you with her? doesn't look like someone "hit" her... looks like she scraped something.

I think the estimate s fair. Mine is almost 700 for a gouge the size of a grain of rice. Fix it and take away her keys

$900 seems fair, that's a $700 to $1,000 repair all day depending on where you reside.

Is the estimate for a repair or replacement of the bumper?

Either way though, you could probably get another shop to do it for $200 less, but you get what you pay for.

I had a similar incident with my IOM 2LT I had. Make sure they get the paint to match, it's tricky with IOM.

Not worth the fight, you gotta drop it.

We know, you know.... and that's all that matters.

Repair not replace. Car is only 6 months old, dont want it to look like crap. Going to two other places tomorrow, but since everyone is so helpful on this site, figured I would ask

It will be fine, it's minor. The nose should be less prone to rock chips after it is fixed, if it's a good shop it will look sweet.

Make sure they overhaul the cover, use a good flex and it will be ok. By the way it's a bumper cover, not a fender.

It's actually a front fascia, bumper cover is slang but close enough right?

Sounds like a fair quote. You will lose the fight with your wife if you try to take the keys from her. Just get it fixed and let it go. At least no one was injured and it really is a minor scrape even though I know it sucks but your wife can make your life hell if you keep reminding her of this minor scrape. I've been married 29 years and trust me you will lose this fight if you keep it up. Get it fixed and move on. Your time will come to get payback for it. It just will take some time.

Id just upgrade to a nicer fascia like the rideskinz or zl1 fascia. She can't complain because she was in possession of the vehicle when the damage happened!
