I think they will make them look more agresive by restyling front & back of car. Plus making side intakes different.

But the question is will they look better than the base?

I'd be surprised if the GS continued into the C7.

There's no official word yet but I don't think there's going to be a GS either. That WAS the "Z51" for the C6 with gearing, brake, dry sump oiling and upgraded sports shocks. They just broke out the Grand Sport moniker to be able to slap some more decals on and charge more.

Why did it not sell? And if it did, did they make money on it?

Because the Grand Sport was basically just a way to introduce a new model to keep C6 sales going.

I see adding ram air to the intake on the hood, bigger brakes, Carbon Ceramic maybe from the ZR1, or adding 6-piston brakes up front. More power with the LT4, I don't see forced induction happening, and hopefully a track-ready model gutted out, more carbon fiber body parts.
Look at the close ups of the gauge screen, there's a boost gauge peeking up just above the wheel. You will get a supercharger. And the production of a corvette specific DCT was buried in the fine print of the Union contract negotiations.

Oh forced induction is definite. GM Powertrain engineers were all smiles when asked about it. And said the Gen Vs were built with forced induction in mind.

I believe the Grand Sport will be gone for the C7 series.

My reasoning is that the GS replaced the Z51 option package in 2010. They are already identifying the Z51 as an upgrade.

I heard on one of the engineer's videos that they want to get rid of the expression, "Base Corvette," and prefer the terms Stingray, and Z51 respectively for the two models introduced so far. My own opinion is they should have been called Stingray and Grand sport.

The Z06 & ZR-1 still seem likely though, in some form of alpha numeric nomenclature. It could be a few years off.

LS9 is rated at 638 bhp stock so I would imagine that 650 would be a starting point. If you want to keep up with the new Viper and F12 then the highest-end 'Vette is going to have to throw down some serious power when released. Hell, you can go to your local Ford dealer now and waltz out with a GT500 for way under $60K - 600+ hp and 200+ mph

The C6 ZR1 kicked the new Viper's butt at LS. Oh and the GT500 hasn't hit 200 by anyone yet from what I've heard.

Yep, saw that comparo and was damn glad of the outcome. Personally, a Viper has never had any appeal for me. Haven't paid attention to real world testing on the GT500, just the published numbers. A lot of people seem to get hung up on those so I was throwing them out. In the real world? I would expect the C7 to be a helluva lot easier to drive than a Viper or the GT500. The latter needs a lot of help in getting all the ponies down to the ground and the last Viper I rode in felt like the suspension was missing - just solid links to every pothole on I-95 south of Baltimore...............
