Just spoke to Mark at MVP and I'm planning to attend. My Z28 is 2015 0070 and is on the truck in route.

Ditto; I'll be there in my 2014 (#173). Can't wait to drive COTA in the Z/28; I did one other track event there, before buying my Z/28, and I'm pretty sure t ought she ought to be good for at least 150mph on the back straight. Actually, given how it carries speed through the corners, it might just touch 160...

MVP is a great group to run with.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

Nice to hear that kind of feedback. I've never run with them but spoke at length with Mark Pfeffer. He seems to share my belief that the most important thing for HPDE groups to do is to quickly locate, and get rid of, That Guy when he appears. For those of you who've never run into That Guy, you can learn more about him HERE...

They run a pretty good program. During their last 2 events at COTA I don't recall seeing That Guy. There were a couple of folks a little slow for their assigned run groups, one of whom demonstrated an unwavering refusal to give a point-by and caused some unhappiness (particularly through the esses). Mark tends to address those issues fairly quickly when reported.

The whole of COTA is under video. Any issues on track are immediately available for review by event authorities and the drivers involved, which seems to moderate "red mist" episodes. Weather permitting it should be a great event. Austin is cool to visit too.

Mark sent out an email today about garages available and they sold out the remaining garages by the time I went to the site. Apparently a garage holds up to 4 cars. Did anyone secure a garage, and would you be willing to share a spot and cost?

THX

Steve -- PM me as I believe I have a garage. I went on PayPal and immediately paid for one, but never heard back from Mark. Once I get confirmation, I'd be happy to split the cost. I just wanted to lock one down and figured it would be easy to find folks to share a garage after the fact...
