Ditch the Stang, Norm. Here's what Ford uses to rate HP

Let Norm be Norm. If he ditched the *ord and got a Camaro, he would become jaded and might forget which one was better when he had something to compare with. He knows which is best now. Wonder if he hangs with the *odge forums, too?

Let's put it this way... I'm a GM guy and I don't post in the Mustang and Dodge forums.

I'm a CAR guy. And i post in a bunch of different forums from ls1tech, to here, to mustang forums to offroad forums like pirate4x4. If it has a motor, wheels and goes fast or offroad I think its cool. I think brand/car specific people are so narrowminded. I've had over 30 different cars in the past 10 years and they've been everything from a ford lightning to a JKU rubicon to a 9 second Foxbody to the camaros/firebirds I've owned. They're all cool in their own way!

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same. Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different. I can't wait for my next Track fix. Norm should stay Mustang....It gives his opinions and comments more credibility when it comes to being a "car" guy....It insulates him from being associated with all of the bone-head Camaro guys, and he doesn't have to "explain" himself or apologize for mis-informed, rude opinions/comments from other C5 members who would otherwise think "Hey, I'm just like Norm!"....lol....
Norm being a Mustang owner I think is a good way to draw attention to his always well-thought out posts and to promote proper etiquette among all car enthusiasts... Hope he sticks around for the foreseeable future... But, I would also add this....If we took up a collection and bought him a new Camaro, I don't think he'd turn it down...lol... |

I made that swap, but I went to the ZL1 (2012 GT Premium to a 2013 ZL1). If you are going to upgrade to the ZL1, I say yes. I'll never look back, although I went from a 2008 E90 M3 to the 2012 GT Premium and thought the GT was just as good as the M3 in everything.
For the 1LE, that's a tough call. It's an upgrade, but a more raw car meant for the track guy, much like the BOSS. For the SS, I say no. It's a great car, but almost identical in performance to the Mustang GT, with the SS handling better and the Coyote 5.0 slightly quicker. To me, why waste the money unless you are upgrading. Besides, I think Ford really nailed it with the 2012 body style, especially the front end. If the transaction was cash neutral, I say get the SS. Every man should experience as many performance cars as possible before he dies. BTW, I was more of a Cliff Clavin fan.
