All the boost. No power?
So I️ had a 388ci motor built by a very reputable shop and it was not cheap. Ive done three different forced induction setups. Every setup yielded very high boost numbers around 20-24lbs. But the hp/tq numbers just aren’t there. I’ve put every best part I️ can on the car at this point hoping it would solve the issue. The car seems to spew oil and such into then catch can. Like literally a half day of driving is a full catch can, so yeah it’s pretty ****ing bad. I️’m going to have a leak down and compression test done. But what would cause this, it’s basically been like this since the motor was built. Any opinion or advice is wanted, thanks.

Send some more info.
What are the hp/tq numbers? If you are using HP Tuners post the tune file for review. With 24 pounds you should be around 1300 hp give or take. |

Sounds like your rings are not sealing. You should have figured this out before changing setups 3 times.

Yeah sometimes you don’t want to believe your brand new $15,000 motor is ****ed.

Your problem starts with Pro and ends with charger. 24 pounds of boost maybe but at what, 50% parasitic loss? Motor I am sure is fine and is begging for a turbo. I have been down this road , they are heat pumps at best.

The car has had 2 different prochargers and a roots blower and made very piss poor power with all 3. When I️ say piss poor, I️ mean piss poor. I️ traded my first Procharger kit to a guy with a stock LSA and he made 180rwhp more than my built motor with ported heads and all while making less boost. I️ don’t think it’s the Procharger. The engine also spews oil.

Oil getting past the rings or need a much much better catch can route for the lines

His rings aren't sealing. It's not hard to figure out.

Exactly! Sounds like washed cylinders.
Also get rid of the pro charger and go turbo.

You should have amazing success with that engine, sounds like you have a lot of good parts. Could be losing a ton in your transmission.
You should call Kevin @ AGP 480-401-1515. That much oil in your catch can it must be hooked up wrong. |
