Stop emails?

I have selected the option to not receive email notifications from "subscribed" threads last week, but i still keep getting them every day. I'm on these forums every day, so i don't need my email bombed daily with updates. Anything the mods/admins can do to stop them, as the option to not receive email notifications has done nothing, and i dont want to "unsubscribe" from any threads since thats the only way i get the little blue box with the checkmark indicating threads that i have commented on.

Did you select the option from the subscription page?

Does it say NONE in the column of your subscriptions called notification?

I'm on the subscription page, i dont see anything referring to notifications.

I'm in the settings for subscriptions that looks like this:

-----------Default Thread Subscription Mode--------------
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Default Thread Subscription Mode:No email notifications.

Yet i'm still getinng emails.

That might just be moving forward you are turning off notifications from automatically applying, but you may need to retroactively go back and turn off notifications for old subscriptions.

But if you go to your subscriptions section (UserCP > List Subscriptions), try to turn off the notifications from there.

ChibiBlackSheep is correct.

When you change your settings under 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' it only applies to threads you participate in after you make the changes. Anything from earlier will remain as it was.

For prior subscriptions, you have to go back and view all your subscribed threads. There is also an option on every e-mail notice to unsubscribe from that particular thread (or forum, if you're subscribing to them as well). Then you don't have to go about unsubscribing from a bunch of dead threads.

Alternatively, you could change your e-mail to a dummy account that you never check. But that might cause hassles if you ever forget your login password and need to reset it.

But however you manage it (and this includes people that manage to find this thread in the distant future), please don't mark our e-mails as spam. I'm 99.9% sure we've been blacklisted after enough people did that. Then nobody gets e-mails.

I would hate for that to happen as well, definitely will not be seeing my spam folder, we're good

It sure did, thank you both! I got it straightened out, I went back a few pages, mainly only unchecking the still active threads, i'm not worried if I get an email from an old thread getting bumped I just don't want my email to be filled daily with 10 different emails lol
