Get to the track and practice. It isn't as easy as it looks. If you roll up in your ZL1 with no drag racing experience, and your dad is experienced, you are going to get smoked. You need to do at least two nights of practice runs before you will get totally comfortable with staging, launch, etc... even that might not be enough. Also, spend some time in the drag racing section of this forum. Try to read everything you can about the proper way to set your car up for the best times.

I don't think cornering ability counts for much in a drag race.

Gota pay to play.... You can't expect to turn excess of 600whp and expect the exact same reliability that you had when bone stock. I don't think it can be done on stock boost.

Stop digging yourself a hole and tell Dad that you admit you're in over your head. You foolishly made this bet.

If that's not possible due to your pride, modify the bet to even the playing field, and remember that hp numbers are nice. Don't forget about torque. But right now you're putting your car's quite good features against your Dad's car's excellent features

Yes! Play into your cars strenghts and his weaknesses. You'll take him on a road coarse, now all you'll need is a tie braker...

You say your dad is experienced? How so? Has he raced at the drag strip before? Has he raced his Hellcat at the strip? If not, and if you you practice and he doesn't... I'm betting you'll take him on the first run. That's if he has zero experience on a real track. Once he catches on, he'll eat you alive. If you manage to pull it off, don't give him a second chance.
