Tips for launching?

I ran the car for the second time tonight. 1 pass last week, 4 tonight. Ran a best of 12.78 @ 111 and I'm headers/ exhaust only, no tune. Having a hard time lowering my 60ft time, consistent 2.2 60fts aside from my best pass which was 2.03. Also on that pass the clutch almost stuck to the floor lol at first I was launching around 1500 getting 2.2s, then I launched around 2500-3000 and got 2.03. Then next pass after the clutch cools down launch at 3000 and get 2.3 60ft. Anyone able to help me out here on how to launch this car better? Also how many of you shift to 4th before the traps

I'm auto so not much advice to offer other than keep trying different stuff. I've only made two passes in my car recently and both times my 60 was 2.0 .. that's on street tires taking it easy, there was an event that night and they gave me crap for having street tires, said if I spin I was gonna mess the track up. So I got some race stars now, just need to get some tires. On another note...I really love the look of your car BFAST! I know I remember reading you saying you were on 26"tires? What size is your wheel/tire combination if you don't mind me asking? I went with 17x4.5 in front and 17x10.5 in rear. Have to decide on what I want to do for tires.

a little Thanksgiving gift...Bfast has what I aspire for in a N/A combo..and a lot more $$$ too! My goal is currently some what more limited for a variety of reasons...mostly $$$ at this time! LOL..but also I really want to see what this car and current combo has in it...and I freely admit I am the limiting factor...every time I get behind the wheel I am learnin' something and fortunately each visit has resulted in a lower et and a consistent 60'...again as long as I do the right things at the right time...

use this http://www.rangeracceleration.com/Clutch_Care.html to get the stock clutch as happy as possible.

you need dr's if you wanna get serious, worthless topic on street tires, 18' minimum...

get a tune, I use dynoSteve at RDP and it REALLY wakes the car up, you leave so much on the table...these cars are ALL computer!

this is the result of the last visit and the goal is 5k launch and ride the clutch out of the hole without burnin' it up..good luck!
