Show your C7

We took our baby to a local car show this morning. First time I have ever done this with any of my sports cars. The stingray was a big hit! More attention than I could have imagined. We were used to a lot of attention on the streets but I did not predict the amount of interest we got. This went on for hours, showing off this beautiful car to car aficionados. I braved 20 degree weather to stand beside the most beautiful American car ever produced and loved every minute of it. This was a "cars and coffee" event. If you lucky C7 owners get a chance, show your car at your local car show-it's a blast.
Jim.

Jim D,
Get use to all the attention at car shows, when you gas up and so on. The Stingray is a "rock star" when it comes to getting attention. Two friends own C7's and both report getting lots of questions wherever they go with the car. Congrats on your new rock star!

I'm dying to see it in person too!

I had the privilege of seeing a couple of Arctic White, non-Z51 coupes in person a couple of times.

I want to see my own now!

Picked mine up last Friday. Now I get to stare at it in the garage.
I sure wish all of this snow would melt. 70+ inches so far this year.
Worst since 1978 !!!

What's the last update they gave you on your build?

Did you put a deposit down?

I'd definitely call other dealerships ad ask them to see if they any allocations. That's a long time to wait.

My dealership never requires a deposit from me since I do a ton of business with them and order my cars.

I can wait. The deal I'm getting can't be beat anywhere else. Especially since the vast majority of dealerships are selling them at MSRP or above.

Hmm if your dealership doesn't get any allocations, I would say that isn't a deal. 1100 means NO allocations.

You're confused. 1100 is order accepted.

Look at my signature and you can see I ordered things with my car that are on constraint.

I think he is correct, actually. Order accepted is 2000 status.

1100 is for an order placed into the system by the dealership only. It means nothing more. It does not mean the dealer can actually get a car built or that GM has accepted it. Cars can sit at 1100 for a LONG time until a dealer actually gets an allocation at which point it will move to 2000 once there is an allocation and 3000 when production gets it. If your dealer doesn't have an allocation your order will be at 1100 until they get one. When your dealer actually gets their allocation (if they get their allocation) then it moves past 1100. There is a lot of confusion on this where people think placing the order in the system by the dealership means much... when it doesn't until the dealer has an allocation spot available.

My car sat at 1100 from June until October which is when my dealer actually got an allocation it could fill. It then moved quickly from 1100 to 3000 in a few days. Before the allocation, it was simply data in the system with no car in sight.

See the codes below.
