Of course, as seen here, it's also very handy to record anything anyone does with your car if you're not driving it. The valet mode is great. I still would never valet my car, though.

Chevy ran a commercial of a Stingray being valet parked by 4 different "types" of valet drivers with this feature when it debuted:

Awesome feature, just watched the video, very cool.

Nope, I don't let people drive it unless I am in it. Period.

I have to tell this story, later I felt like an ass, "but hey, its my Camaro".

I took my wife to a high end restaurant and pulled into the driveway. Watched a guy in a brand new Ferrari throw his keys at the valet and walk his wife inside. Valet eases it down the parking lot. I however, pull up to the valet stage and ask where I can park it. They promptly reply that they cannot allow me to park my own car in their lot for insurance reasons. I then promptly started my car and began to flip a u-turn to head on out. No one drives my car! They caught up to me and told me that I could park along the curb just inside the drive. I did so and took my wife inside for dinner. I chuckled a bit when I realized what a lame move it was when these guys do high end rides all the time, "but hey, it's my Camaro".

I wouldn't trust a valet to drive any car. They don't respect it b/c it's not theirs.

Agreed.

We need an aftermarket solution so we can add this to our Camaros.
