hahaha my insurance is going to MURDER me. I had a good rate, depending on the fact that I had no previous history of accidents. I see a honda civic in my future.......

I love my 2012 Civic sedan.

I echo what the others said, we've all been there. Early morning/late night... tired... typical route... mind wanders and BAM you drift. Sucks but you got lucky. Could have been much worse.

A local accident just occurred except replace your car (at fault person) with a motorcycle... a new rider... and the guy you hit with a loaded concert truck. :(. Guy looked down to adjust his boot or something, drifted left of center, head on at 50 into a loaded truck at 50. The bike exploded, truck turned over and took out two more riders. It was a disaster.

Again, you got lucky.

I have much respect for a person willing to own up to his own mistakes. You might have crashed a car, but taking the responsibility like you are is honorable.

Looks like its going to be a total loss to me too. But listen dont take it too hard, ive waffled a couple of cars in my years of driving as well and I learned somthing from every one of them. Lucky for me no one else ws ever involved , just me and some trees and big rocks and stuff.
LOL yes I live in the mountains.
Glad your ok and I give you props for recognising that you F ed up and admiting it out loud, where as most people try to blame someone or somthing else for thier screwups.

Car is done. The airbags alone had done the car in. The front suspension is gone and there is enough structural damage to total it 2 more times.

I sure hope you had gap insurance on it, assuming it wasn't paid off.
