Arizona ZL1 owners
I am considering moving to Arizona from Indiana. I have 2013 ZL1 and I am curious what the license plate fees are. If you wouldn't mind sharing I would like to know how much the cost? Thanks!

^^ Sven59 is right. It's about $1600 - $1800 the first year after purchase.
Here is the nitty-gritty... The VLT (vehicle license tax) is based on an assessed value of 60% of the manufacturer's base retail price reduced by 16.25% for each year since the vehicle was first registered in Arizona The VLT rate is calculated as $2.80 (new vehicles)/$2.89 (used vehicles) for each $100 of the assessed value. More info here. For example, for a new vehicle that costs $25,000, and is registered for two years, the first year assessed value would be $15,000 and the VLT would be $420.00. The second year the assessed value would be $12,562.50 and the VLT would be $363.06. Other fees may apply when a vehicle is registered commercially. A vehicle eligible for 2-Year or 5-year registration will only be assessed a one year registration fee and a one year air quality compliance fee that covers the entire registration period.

I am sure I would enjoy it. I am tired of the weather here. Its just that we have an 11 SS and a 69 SS to bring too. So with the plates being so expensive we are gonna sell the 1950 GMC and the 13 ZL1. Maybe see ya around there. Thanks.

Been a while since I lived in AZ but they have Antique plates for that GMC truck.
The ZL1 will be your issue. Not the truck |

The ZL1 will go down every year if that helps. But it's like 110 degrees here right now. Sure you want to live here... LOL
