HELP!!!! Manifold bolt nightmare
I'm in the middle of installing JBA shorties. Got the drivers side done. Passenger side a lot more crowded but I know I can get to all the bolts EXCEPT... With my big hands and ratchet I cannot seem to get the socket on the farthest back bolt quite straight and secure enough to torque it loose. Each time I try with some force it slips off, semi-stripping it a bit (which of course I DO NOT want to do). Already sprayed WD-40 on it. Any suggestions! HELP!!! I don't want to drive around with one shorty on and one stock manifold on!!!

Try from underside.... it's gonna be tight due to the down pipe. Are using a short extension? Those bolts aren't normally super tight.

I used one of those flexable extensions attached to the ratchet. Made it a little bit easier.

an air ratchet with a short 6 point socket is your friend. I swapped out the manifolds last week in about 2 hours.

Thanks everyone. Waaaaaaaaay too long and 5-6 skinned knuckles and numerous scrapes later and I'm finally done with the install. Sounds and feels great though.
