Why is mine slower then as advertised?

Hello.
My dyno results were low, around 345hp/350tq. I wasn't concerned about the low numbers due to the fact that dyno's don't mean much on there own. However the best 0-60 time is 4.5 after about 12 runs over a few days. Then my 1/4 mile best is 13.1. The conditions were decent for ripping, I was going down hill slightly on the 1/4 even lol. I don't get it, I'm in launch control mode in a a8, I run premium 91 octane gas but I think I'll run 94 octane from now on perhaps? I heard the fuel in the general area was terrible.
I'm roughly 1000ft in elevation and my tires are good, 7000kms on my car, just changed the oil (first 4 are free) put in the max psi at 51 to avoid flat spots and stored it for the winter....damn Canadian winters.
I almost wanna go to the dealer and bring it to their attention for a possible explanation. It would be nice to 'test drive' one from the lot.
What do you guys think?

Which dyno was used? Were the results SAE corrected?

Your tire pressure is probably too high for one thing. Take a look in the "Dragstrip and Launching Discussion" forum, and you can probably find what tire pressure works the best. Generally speaking, lower pressure puts more of the tire in contact with the road for better grip, but up to a point. 51 PSI is more than likely too high.

Also, these times that are quoted, are based off of a prepped surface, and after the driver does a burnout to heat up the tires. Both of these also give better grip.

What's the altitude where you were doing your 1/4 mile? Is that number from the dash timer, a friend with a stopwatch, or actual traps?

How many miles are on the car? Initial break in is 1500 as per GM but you'll continue to loosen up and gain power until about 7-8000 miles.

Is your Driver Mod working properly? Were you at the track or on the street using the cars dash timers?

Without knowing trap speed, 60' and DA, not to mention driver skill, just being told a 1/4 mile time is meaningless...

If you are spinning to a 2.2 60' in 3000 DA and you are a novice driver the 13.1 makes total sense.

Something isn't right. I've seen numbers that were a little low, but nothing that low.

As far as fuel make sure you run a top tier gasoline. Here is a list. This site has some other good information also. Top tier gas is more about long term benefits though.

http://www.toptiergas.com/licensedbrands/

I would use a top tier gas also find a busy station, sitting in a stations tank for a long period of time doesn't do gasoline much good.

I'm in Kelowna and i find Chevron 94 to be the best gas we can buy here in BC. I run it in my 2013 GSX-R 750 and it makes a noticeable difference over Shell 91 for example. It's also the highest octane you'll find in B.C. Give that a try.

Most of the magazines (even GM's numbers) do not use prepped surfaces and heat the tires for their times. That's why we have guys running 11.9-12.2 regularly. Hell here's my best times on a bumpy country road. DA corrected it was 12.1, but that's a bit of guesswork with MPH.
