So if built before 09/30 the buyer gets a refund for the cost of the tour. I think this confirms what had been rumor.

Museum deliveries probably but this has nothing to do with any other deliveries.

When the tours were haltd last September Chevy made it clear that the tours would resume well after the start of Stingray production. It was in their press releases and I assure you I am not about to go through GMMedia to look for them just to prove a point, but they are there in case you want to try to prove me wrong.

Back then I wondered about how customers selecting the plant tour with Museum Delivery on early orders would be treated; I believe this is the fairest way of addressing a potential problem.

Anyone who believes this is an indication of a late start for regular production is not familiar with the way GM works. And for those who attribute this to Government Motors, I want my share of whatever you are smoking.

I think it's a good sign that things are moving forward. This is the first date announced regarding production - sort of. 9/30 is the beginning of tours, which means they expect production to be going well by then.

I was under the impression that Museum delivery added 2 weeks post build as a mandatory QC hold. If that is correct, then the actual production of ordered cars could begin around the 2nd week of September.
