Yes, at that price of the used one, better off getting new.

I traded my 2010 1LT V6 Camaro for 2014 2SS/RS.

Let me tell you. It is one hell of a big difference !!

My V6 had a set full bolt-ons with tune. Lowered with sway bars. The new SS is quite and has a silky steering compared to the 2010.

I like the exhaust note !!

I drove a brand new 2014 2SS yesterday and to be honest with you I wasn't impressed with the power. The sound of the motor on the other hand was almost reason enough to buy it plus the stick shift was hella fun! The shifter on the new ones is so much better than the older 2010/2011 or whatever year they changed out that horrendous bulky baseball sized shifter. Obviously more fun to drive than my v6 auto but it just didn't feel all that powerful to me. Felt like a mellow truck motor, lol. Maybe I'm just used to that more snottier 2-stroke like power of my supercharged 5.4 than a smoother and more broader powerband of a N/A V8 (in reference to my truck) and my V6 still felt good after hammering on the new 2SS...

For those of us taking a hit on the trade in I don't think its worth it at all based on feel of power alone. Buying straight up no trade definitely worth it! Get the V8 in stick though! It's super easy to shift and drive and a ton of fun! Just dont have "unrealistic" expectations over the power and expect the typical softer GM truck V8 power delivery, lol. I drove a new 5.0 stang and that thing barked! I'd still go with the Camaro because I like it better overall.

Power is not feeling, it is an action. My V6 was louder and felt powerful compared to the SS until I decided to pay attention to the speedometer !!

SS is fast, and numbers dont lie.

However, is it all about power? hell no !!

2014 SS has a lot to offer and personally Im very satisfied with it.
