I'm 32 and bought my C5 Corvette at 27. I was single and could afford it, so I figured that I might as well while I could. I'll admit that it wasn't brand new when I got it, but it was my dream car at the time so I got it. Luckily, having my Vette and being involved in the culture turned my wife on to all types of cars. When the Camaro came out, that became my latest dream car and with her support we picked up OUR 2SS/RS. She loves the Camaro and is involved in all my mods.

At the end of the day, car guys are car guys, no matter what kind of car they drive. Of course there are going to be some guys that are just DB's no matter what kind of car they are in, I just try not to be one of them!

I wanted one but need back seat. Take dad, GF, & nephew everywhere. So i was looking at just GT500, Camaro SS, & challenger SRT8. Wish ZL1 was out. I'm 32 too. I bought Camaro obviously then put the rest of the money in performance parts

I think the complete saying is:

A Corvette is a poor man's Ferrari and a Camaro is a poor man's Corvette.

WOT it and forget it. It's just supposed to be a compliment to the power of the Camaro. See you all on the open road....or stuck in traffic.

2 totally different cars with similar engines. Camaro is for sure the more pratical car.
Hard for me to get 2 car seats in a vette.

My income, something under 7 figures, allows me to afford a corvette, but I bought a Camaro instead, again...

Had an orange 70 Opel GT. Awesome car!!! (when the carbs worked)

Instead of buying a Vette we put a brand new SS and a brand new Traverse in the garage. Now i can take my whole family on a long road trip in comfort. I can also take them out on a Saturday night cruise in one of the baddest machines on the road that get's way more looks than a Vette does. Wife is happy, kids are happy and i'm oh so very happy. WINNING

Not a poor mans Vette at all... I would call it my "fathers sports car". If the Corvette had a back seat it would probably be in my garage, but right now I love the Camaro I bought last week

2 year old daughter fits just fine in the back seat of the Camaro...
