Interesting article. In my opinion if Chevy wants a mid-engined supercar, don't call it Corvette. Every Corvette since 1953 has been a FR drivetrain. If they change it to MR they would be ruining the very soul of the Corvette.

That was posted on Feburary 22, 2007. So I would hardly call it an update...sorry...
AND several GM insiders (powertrain), all seem to agree that the LS7 lifespan is growing increasingly short, so why would they put it in the new Vette? just thinking out loud... |

i read somewhere they were planning on putting the LS3 into the 08 vettes. then of course a detuned version into the new camaro.
