Non anniversary 427 Corvette Convertible

I am at my dealership getting the oil changed in the Vue and down in the showroom they have a Torch Red 2013 Corvette Convertible with 427 Badges on the hood and no 60th anniversary emblems. I cannot find that option on the Chevy build your own website. Has anyone else seen a non anniversary 427 Convertible?

Pop the hood and find out. Doubt it's legit.

It's new and the base price is $75000. I would say its legit. It has an option package I think 1SB that cost $6000.

Looking on Chevrolet's website you can get a 427 Convertible that isn't an Anniversary model. That might've just been for last year.

It is a 2013. And I thought 2013 was the first year they put the 427 in the convertible.

If you get a 4LT then you have the option for the 60th Anniversary design. Otherwise it's just a Convertible with the LS7.

So the 4LT comes with the LS7?

427 is its own model. You have three trim levels for a 427 Convertible and 4LT gives you the 60th Anniversary package option.

Ok I see it now, I was just clicking on the convertible, I didn't realize the 427 was considered a separate model like the Z06. Thanks.

The 427 Convertible is only offered on the 2013 model year. The Anniversary Package is a separate option as mentioned above. The only way to get the 427 (LS7 Engine) in a coupe is in a Z06 model. This is the first and only time that the 427 was offered in a convertible from the factory and that is what makes the 427 Convertible so special. It will be a limited production, one year only model. The LS7 might not make it into the C7 model with the LT1 replacing the LS engine series in Corvettes.
