V6 runs 13.60's at 103
Just watched the v6 kick ass on motor week. Beat the ecoboost and trounced the challenger by a bunch. Ecoboost went 14.0's and the challenger ran like 14.30's. They gave the mustang the over all win because they liked the street manners better and the mid range power of the turbo. So, lets put this in perspective. One of my favorite cars I've owned was my 2008 g8gt, bone stock it ran 13.80 and had 361 hp at the crank, it was Ls2 with L92 heads and 6 speed auto. I added headers, Cai, exhaust and hand held tuner and it ran 13.30's on street tires and 13.11 with drag radials. The V6 with 335 hp ran 13.60, so what I'm trying to say is its a pretty awesome drive train package with the 8 speed auto. Way to go GM and the Camaro LT1 also kicked their asses in the V8 showdown, by a bunch. However I did add a Maggie to my g8gt and it ran 11.80's w/ drag radials and there have already been a couple guy that have run 11.70's with drag radials with the SS. Brilliant I say.

The v6 1LE is going to have a little more tire too!
Should be able to launch at higher RPM and make a somewhat better time. |

Wish they could have run the turbo 4 against them. Still think it would have done pretty good. I would have at least out run the Challenger, maybe even the ecoboost

That is pretty sweet! Is there a video of this somewhere I can watch?
I wouldn't go that far lol. But yeah...a slight mess up and if the V6 is running good, the V8 driver will have their hands full. Quote:
The V6 will never get much aftermarket support, but it has some stuff coming. Cold Air intake, throttle body, ported intake manifold, and tune is all coming, and that alone should be enough to push the "little" 3.6 to an easy 350 - 360 HP.

Exhaust systems, except for catless mid pipes and catbacks are dead since now I think the exhaust ports are even more integrated than the old V6. |

I know I would have been having to worry about my launch with my 15 LS3 against one. Yes, we got it to 13.2 with some practice, but it was really easy to screw up the launch with our M6. We did have quite a few 13.7's to 14.3's. And the 16 LT is going to be a heck of a lot easier to launch. From a roll, gen 5 SS will walk the gen 6 LT with no issues. We trapped a healthy 107-108 with our 15.

Or the easier route, bottle feed it! Spray a 50 or 100 shot and it would be quite the sleeper.
