6gen Specs...what I know.
It will sit on about a 109 in. wheelbase compared to the current 112 in. It will be 200lbs lighter or more. The front end clip may be aluminum but not yet confirmed, if so expect more than 200lbs lighter. The problem aluminum is its a body man's nightmare for repair unless just completely replacing the whole panel meaning more expense. My sources confirm to same 2 base engines but the v8 will be upgraded for a little more HP, but the V6 will have a twin turbo option putting out about 400hp. Even without the TT v6 option performance increase will be substantial because of the 200+ weight loss. I estimate all cars to be running stock mid 13s and below. The TT probably hi 12s, V8 probably low to mid 12s. Not to mention the z/28 or ZL1. Don't know about them.

Source is?
Not sure if you're just not being clear but it's kinda ridiculous to even think it'll have the same two base engines as the current gen. GM isn't going to waste money and effort building LS3s when the LT1 is vastly superior.

And I think ALL of them will have wheel/tire options, and include license plate holders in front for the states that require them. Oh, and some plastic interior appointments.
Plus MSRPs starting in the 20s.... That's my guess. I have no source. But I bet I'm right.

The front clip is more likely to be fiberglass than aluminum.
The V8 engine is more likely to be an LT1 than either LS3 or L99. The wheelbase is speculation at best. The TTV6 (LF3) is speculation at best. The mid-13 quarter mile would be a catastrophe as current V8s with more weight are running 13.1 on a bad day. Your source is feeding you nonsense.

I'm assuming that if OP really did hear something of value, it was lost in translation. He probably heard that it'll have a 3.6L V6 and a 6.2L V8. Problem is GM doesn't change displacements that often, leading to people thinking the same engine is being used for years on end, for example the 2.0T LNF from the Cobalt SS =/= the 2.0T LHU in the 2011 Regal =/= the 2.0T LTG in the ATS.
So probably what he means is it'll have the LGX and LT1.
