Hennessey Packages

Anyone got or rode in a Hennessey model? Just wondering if worth the money. Saw a Challenger 650 package here in Memphis or heard it first I should say.

Honestly, you're paying for the name. There are a lot of shops that do just as good or better of a job for cheaper.

I've heard that Hennessey is one of the best at boosting HP without voiding your ZL1's warranty.

Hennessey has the longest warranty compared to the others. Your paying for the name and warranty. I believe theirs is 3 years/36k miles.

LPE's packages are cheaper, but you get only a 1 year warranty.

Its pretty much a decision on do you want a warranty and how long of one.

ALSO, keep in mind not only do you get the warranty with the big names, but you get more in RESALE for a certified car tuned with a Hennessey or LPE package. A 700 HP Lingenfelter or Hennessey ZL1 is going to bring alot more in resale than a non big name 700 rwhp ZL1.

Not bashing anyone, they're very reputable but you'd better get ALOT MORE in resale to cover the difference. It may be a "push" when all is said and done.

well technically anyone whether it be Hennessey, PLE or whoever will void the factory GM warranty once they work their magic on the car. difference is companies like Hennessey and LPE offer their own warranty. this means that if the engine lets go, then the blame falls under the company that did the work and they will be the one(s) who do the repair(s).

I'd go with Hennessey. Very reputable company.

Modding and tuning is an experimental learning curve and theres grenaded motors in just about every shops past somewhere. Even if you may not have heard about it recently. All the big name shops were little guys learning at some point

If I had a ZL1 and wanted to Mod it I would be sending my car to Vengeance Racing in Cumming GA, why these guys have been working on GM smll block V8 engines since the late 90s if you know about GMMG card Ron and Mike built them and these are the guys behind Vengeance Racing?
