Any "hate", you're reading into it yourself.
There is some level headed criticism for both gen. cars here...But there also seems to be alot of "5th gen. sour grapes" as somebody has stated.

Comments such as the Camaro looks like a Euro-trash Mustang-esis belong on the "VS" thread on that other forum.

The difference is, some Mustang guys are saying "it looks exactly like the 5th gen, did they not change anything?" while some Gen5 Camaro guys are saying "they completely ruined the look."

I find it interesting the wide variation of opinions that people have on this subject.

Additionally, I wonder what those 5th gen guys who dislike the 6th gen would say if they didn't already own a 5th gen.

Further, I wonder how many of those folks call themselves "Camaro enthusiasts", or just "5th gen Camaro enthusiasts".

Even further, will there be any 6th gen owners behave the same way over an upcoming 1LE or Z/28 or ZL1. "Ugh, Chevy completely ruined the 6th gen with the 50th anniversary styling..."

I'm a huge fan of both 5th gen and 6th gen. Anybody with a 5th gen has no reason feel sour grapes. 5th gens are awesome. The 5th gen is what got me interested in camaros!

Wow, they actually look a lot more similar than I thought. I would like tosee a refreshed gen 5 next to it, i think they would be even closer with the thin upper grille and led taillights.

IMO it's not even a comparison Gen6 just makes the plastics come out even more on the Gen5. Plus more power and refinement what more can you ask for man.

Neutral party here. I have neither a 5th gen, nor a 6th gen on order. I actually still own 4th Gen myself. I'll be honest, love both the 5th Gen and 6th Gens since both cars wear the Camaro nameplate. I did have the opportunity to drive a 2016 Camaro myself this last Saturday at PIR and let me tell you, car is wicked. Chaperone let me stomp on the gas pedal a couple of times and the car wanted to break loose on me, even with allof the nannies on. You guys who did order one will love it, guaranteed. Unfortunately, my wallet won't allow for a 6th gen anytime soon but, it will allow for a 5th Gen here in the near future.Enjoy what you own and Find The Roads people

You forgot a closed ratio trans, 3.91 gears, dampeners, sway bars, bushings, fuel pump, short throw shifter and stuff. But that's only like 5 bucks to add.

I love the 6th gen, I just love my 1LE a bit more. Cant go wrong either way in my opinion.

I know the 1le has all the other mods (plus splitter, wheels, tires, wrapped hood, steering wheel...) but isn't the transmission gear ratio the same as the SS, just feel closer due to the 3.91 rear end?

"Here’s one where the new Camaro might actually transcend the criteria. Is this the best production ponycar the world has ever seen? Without hesitation, yes. What was interesting to me is that we judge types weren’t talking about the Camaro in relation to the Mustang GT that we brought along as a benchmark. We were talking about future Camaro comparison tests against BMWs, Audis, and AMGs. I’d even throw Porsche into that mix. MacKenzie sums up our feelings: “A revelation. Absolutely world-class sports car performance and dynamics from an American icon. The new Camaro is one of the finest driver’s cars in the world. And that’s before you even talk about the price.” It’s also absolutely bitchin’, and it’s the 2016 Motor Trend Car of the Year."

My understanding is its an actual close ratio.

Different transmissions, the SS has the Tremec 6060 MN6 and the 1LE has the 6060 MM6.

You sure? Thought I have read a few times the new SS trans is the same as the previous 1LE? What are the differences between the two you listed? Is the one in the SS a new one?
