Curious on market and pricing

I don't know if the Z28 specifically is going up more than other cars but inflation is crazy right now. I was looking up what a 2016 V6 costs now on Car Guru's book value. It's nuts, almost MSRP back in 2016 !! Convertibles not so much but coupes, and other cars have skyrocketed. I'm glad I'm not trying to buy any car right now, I already got another family type 5 months ago, just in time. My north Cali prices/zip raise it up a couple thousand. About $50k is a selling price for the common 20k mi 2014 Z28 now, or more.

I sold my Z in the end of April 2021 - 2015 AGM - 1 owner car - 6,635 miles - new tires - no issues - OEM wickerbill, paint correction detail when new, then full clear film, ZL1 addon rock guards (long), tow hooks, Brey Krause seat belt bar, schroth harness, Phastek skip shift by pass, Z/28 carpet in trunk - 130 miles of track time. Only engine mod was ported and polished OEM throttle body.

Put up here, Autotrader and Car Guru's. Here - 3 interested parties - all wanted to pay in the $45k range. Car Guru's no interest - Auto trader - 10 inquires in 40 days. 6 retail, 4 dealers - no serious retail offers - a few tire kickers who I sent endless stuff to. Late April - $55k offer from dealer - sold car - next day - $60k verbal offer from another dealer - I shared their name with another member here who sold his 1,4xx mile, one owner AGM car to that dealer for $60k +/- within a week of their call to me.

When I started there were 6 cars on Auto trader - when my sale was complete there was over 20 +/-.

Your one owner car with 14k miles is likely a $55k - $57k car retail - $50k - $52k to a dealer.

Mine is on Auto Trader, Facebook, and here for the last 10 days...4700 mile, red AC car, wicker bill, ZL1 Addon stuff, Michlen Pilot SS, etc. I have it on AutoTrader for $64250. I've turned down retail offers of $55 and $58K so far. I'm looking for a little more and frankly, don't care if I sell it anyway.

Thanks I would take $55K for it. Iam going to visit some local dealers soon and see what interest there is. I believe I have the only Z in the area so interst should be good.

I have one of the most reasonably priced sub-5000 mile Z-28's listed in the country and all I've been hearing is crickets. Just a couple of offers that were too low to consider.

Sir have you tried some local dealers? They are very interested in our cars. I have 14000 miles on my black 2015 w/ac. I have received cash offers of $61,000 and $59,000 from 2 different local dealers. Maybe it's your area. I know values change depending on your zip code.

I just ran a Edmunds valuation report on my 14000 mile black w/ac Z28. numbers seemed way over inflated $85,923 for outstanding condition. $82,314 for clean condition. I know my car is at least clean and may be outstanding condition. Probably somewhere in between. Now I am very confused on how much to ask for my car. Edmunds is $20,000 over any other value I have seen so far.

KBB dealers offered $50,583. I've already turned down offers better than that from private individuals.

Just had a dealership bring me a check for $62K....Car is on the way to Naperville, IL. It had been listed on Autotrader for exactly 1 month. I had private offers of $55 and $58K. I paid $41K for it in February of 2018.
