Well, just had to do it, they finally started selling them. I got the last one, for now until they restock. Bought this to go with the CF door handle covers I got.

I wrapped my bow tie in red carbon fiber. The red that the bow tie had been painted before was faded and looked pink. I’ve had this red CF wrap laying around for years. I originally bought it for my truck’s bow tie, but then ended up going a different route.

This’ll work until I get a heritage grille anyway

Here’s some before and after…

Ok, I mean this in the most smiling and upbeat way when I ask...and I have to ask (and forgive me Lord, I've been wanting to ask for a few years.)...what is it with the fascination with all this carbon fiber stuff?

(I understand that in its earlier years, carbon fiber components were used to lighten various panels and pieces of a car for the purposes of getting better ETs, etc.)

Don't slay me, it's a genuine question I've been dying to ask for years! haha

Nothing wrong with asking lol. No offense taken! I'm not into carbon fiber much myself, I just happened to have it lying around and it matched the paint better than that old faded junk that was on there to begin with. Carbon fiber does look pretty cool, I just think it's too expensive.

Not big on carbon fiber myself.
I honestly think twenty five or thirty years down the road restorers will be bitching about having to remove all that "carbon fiber stuff" and locating factory pieces to get the car back to factory.

Maybe LMC will have a catalog for '10-'15 Camaros?

lol you're cool Daniel. I myself was not a fan before of the CF look in the beginning, but I gotta say that after I added a couple of pieces to the "dull looking plain" stock interior, and with the custom painted trim pieces I have, it just looked really nice! What did it for me was the design pattern of the CF that made all the difference in the way things looked. And the fact now that you can get it in several colors, you can make almost any interior look pretty neat, a step above the rest besides just paint. If you know what I mean. And if I don't want it anymore, I just have to take it all off, but that's not gonna happen! Looks too nice.. lol

I just like the look of carbon fiber, it's shiny, it reflects light on an interesting way, plus I grew up playing need for speed and watching fast and furious movies so that didn't help, not a huge fan of carbon fiber wrap though, with that epoxy cover and the individual threads with imperfections kind of gives that "scorpion in the epoxy" type feel that wrap doesn't imitate too well.
