Well I think the whole point of this thing was the HK416 was too pricey for Germany.

For the money I think I would stay with my POF 308. Although the POF 300 winchester mag semi auto is a new beast!
I've been on a Noreen kick, but man they're heavy in .308 and longer.

I'd take that HK in a SBR configuration.....

HK may not be the easiest company to deal with, but they certainly build some neat toys! Their booth at SHOT Show is full of all sorts of cool stuff every year.

I've got some trigger time behind several MP-5's , one an FBI 10mm model. Easy to see why they were THE standard in pistol, squirt guns, for decades.

Have a .45 Tactical with a can. It's been though thousands of rds without a hiccup. Custom, 1911 accurate too.

I got around to taking my CCW class last June and it took just over 6 months to receive my permit. Being the largest county in NC probably had something to do with it.
I have plenty of guns I was given as a teenager and inherited from great grandpa, grandpa and dear old dad. I got around to buying a few of my own in the last few months.
I wanted something for concealment as well as fun to shoot and home protection.
I went with the Glock 42..380, Glock 19, 9mm and Glock 21, .45.

Love 'em all..

My Ed Brown, commander sized .45 acp. My main, cold weather carry gun.

In the summer I usually carry a G-42. Also carry one of my old duty gun, SIG 229's in .357 sig.

Beautiful Kobra Carry! I used to have one years ago (black frame), but when I bought my wife's engagement ring, I did some cleaning out of the gun safe to buy the ring.

My two recent purchases: STI Hex-Tac 4" .45 & CZ 75 SP-01 9mm from CZ Custom Shop--it's my new USPSA Production Division gun this year.

The rest is my M&P collection, all 9mm and all have have upgrades done to them.

That STI looks like it was made for Hive grips....

The CZ looks good as is.

I have the Cobra Skeleton on my 1911 compact, very grippy without pinching. Also have his compensator on a AR15 build, he makes very high quality stuff!

Yes. A great 1911. Has been 100% reliable and typical Ed Brown accurate too.

I HOPE the relationship with You wife has worked out! Selling guns for a ring! You're a better man than I.
I would have simply given her a gun. Oh Wait. I DID do that. LOL.

My wife is not a big ring person, neither of us have wedding bands, much less a diamond engagement ring.

In my defense....I did buy her a ladies ROLEX instead of a ring. But the Christmas I proposed, I got her a new in box, SIG 226, which she still shoots.

Kobra Carry, BHP slide cuts, NO front cocking serrations, Custom G-10 panels by Lazas.

I also had the frt bushing engraved with my old ID from the Hwy Patrol job, instead of "BROWN".

I've also got a five inch, Wilson CQB. A fairly std gun, few options. Have had it for 15 yrs now and I do not recall EVER having ANY malfunctions with it. The Brown has been totally reliable as well. Both build some fine 1911's.

My Ed Brown Molon Labe has a custom serial number, it was one of the earlier/original runs. Thing is, Browns, Wilson, Nighhawk etc do not fit my hand as well as Springfield custom shop or Les Baer.

So the Kobra Carry would be for wifee and would have to special order it in 9mm.
