hmmm well who knows then. the new mustang is much more desirable than the other ones, so i'd honestly be shocked if it didn't come with a mark up, specially if its to be a limited run.

And it sure didn't help it sell either.

Looks good. Bullit looks like a real car, made of iron. Compared to Camaro, which looks like a cheap plastic and cartoonish toy. I hope an MCE will improve this situation a little until the next gen arrives.

They made no mention of limited run. Previous Bullitt production numbers were like 5500 for the 01 car, and I think over 7000 for the 08/09

Looks like you posted on a wrong forum, this looks like a camaro forum not a mustang forum?

It is a 5.0L engine, it is pretty VE limited at this point when it comes to how much torque it is producing. After all it is making about 84ft-lbs/L which is more then what the 5.2L voodoo engine is producing, at this point they can increase horsepower and at higher rpms.
To compare this engine to the LT1 engine which is making 465ft-lbs (in the Corvette) which comes to 75ft-lbs/L so it has growth there. Now if you look at GMs DR525 LS 6.2L LS3 V-8 engine it is making 498ft-lbs of torque which came in at 80ft-lbs/L. you also have the LT376 which is a hot cam/head package for the LT1 engine which is making 535BHP but only 470ftlbs of torque. Now you can trade displacement and rpms when it comes to horsepower, you just can't do that with torque. This reminds me of the coyote vs LS3 $10,000 shootout, when it came to torque both made roughly the same torque/L (LS3 made slightly more) however the coyote used more rpms and obviously made more horsepower/L then the LS3 engine. They did some follow up articles where they took both engines and changed the intake on them. http://www.lsxmag.com/tech-stories/e...ake-manifolds/ |

Let me guess. Mustang fanboys will claim THIS will be the Zl1 killer.

Okay, that commercial was lame. 1st. Promoting wreckless driving in a parking garage. And, if you notice, about every 5th car in each frame was a new Mustang. smh. Placement much? They just try way too hard to make their cars look cool IMO.

I still say that was the dumbest thing Chevy did. Just SS made no sense.

At least Ford tried to make it look cool vs the car just popping out of the floor with the "Real people not actors ads" |

And another reason the 2019 refresh needs to be more than what everyone expects, cosmetic and maybe the 10 speed auto. That's why Chevy didn't intro the 19 refresh at the NAIAS, it didn't have any meat. Mustang is just wiping the floor in popularity and look what they did to open eyes with the Bullitt intro and added 15 more horse on top of it over the 2018 460 hp GT.
I will never loose faith in Chevy, but damn its getting tough. Maybe, just maybe Camaro is adding a substantial SS HP increase, the 10 speed auto, a high horse NA , less content Z/28 to compete head to head with the G350R ( but to late as that car disappears in 2019) and by doing so delaying the intro. I know.... its wishfull thinking and yeah, I dislike Ford that much. |
