I have reached out to a company that makes a lot of retrofit HID mounts for vehicles, and while they don't have one for our cars yet, I have asked them since I have a complete HID torn down from a spare headlight, would they be interested in making them should there be enough interest and demand.

The answer is YES! Finally, we may have an option to retrofit proper 35w Bi-Xenon HID's into the 2010-2013 HID headlight assembly. This would be a direct fit, bracket would be shaped exactly to the OEM mounting holes. Morimoto 2.5" housings only accept 35w outputs. This would for the the Morimoto Micro D2S 5.0 Bi-Xenon housings (2.5" lens identical to OEM size) Just to clarify, This would replace our Lenses, and bowls for the reflectors. The Bracket would be the metal plate as pointed out (similar to the oem bracket that holds our factory one together in the headlight assembly)

This Thread is to gauge interest and see what can be done. I will update the next post with information regarding the buy-in for a group price discount should there be enough interest.
So the custom bracket will not replace the eom bracket but rather be attached to the Morimito projector as an adapter to enable the projector to be attached to the eom housing?

The custom brackets will allow the new morimoto projector assembly to bolt into our factory headlight housing. It will allow a full protector assembly replacement.

So by bolting into the headlight housing that means it will replace the eom bracket ?

Bump for more interested subscribers Here’s a one time chance (see posts 1&2) to save hundreds of $$$ when the time comes to replace aging/dimming eom HID headlights with Morimoto projectors (with NO modification!!!) instead of the VERY costly entire headlight assembly.
