you're not running a front crash beam of any sort? I was kinda worried the front end might sag/ flex at speed as I'm doing the same thing

Yeah my son has been hounding me to find a track so we can see what this sucker will do. There are a couple more tracks in the Houston area I am looking into. Also, I am not opposed to traveling but if I was going to Dallas then I would probably trailer the car because I would hate to get stranded along 45 and not be able to find E85. Yes I have a flex sensor and it will run on 93, but so far I have only run E85 through it and my tuner says it will run better/cleaner on E85 so I wouldn't strike out with the mind set of running 93 unless I absolutely had to.

I would hate to drive 4-5 hrs just to sit in long lines so I can make 2-3 runs. I may do a bit more poking around to see if I can find a track rental somewhere.

I still have the front crash bar that came on the car from the factory. When Richey Collision installed the ZL1 bumper we decided to lose an additional steel brace that a local Chevy dealer had fabricated to prevent the "flexing" issue I was experiencing. This additional brace was very heavy (~ 100 lbs) and removing it was what I was referring to.

Ok gents. The latest issue I am dealing with is that the Weld wheels I bought wouldn't support the TPS sensors.

For any of you that are still watching this thread and have eliminated your TPS sensors for whatever reason, how did you deal with the alarm issue because these wheels will be on the car all of the time, not just at the track.

Thanks!

Hmmm. Must be the style of Weld wheel I have that does not support the TPS.

Anyway, I am taking the car to a local shop for a front end alignment tomorrow and I trust the owner so I may ask for his input around my issue.

Had to purchase one of these today to prevent from scratching up my new polished welds when working on the tires for whatever reason.

My local shop "Liggio's" engineered a fix for my TPS issue.

Installed 4 TPS sensors in a piece of PVC about 6" long with caps on each end and a tire stem installed on one end. Pumped it up to 40 psig, set the sensors, and stuck the sucker in the glove box. I am good to go!!

Was putting the TPMS on upside down an option? That is what I had to do with my 18" welds to get them to fit. I'm running around with 23-24 lbs in the rears and I do get the check tire pressure message on the DIC upon start up and the tire idiot light is on all the time.

Thread on it:

Liggio's fix is brilliant!!!

Not sure Blake. I may look into it. I am running 24 psi in the rear and 50 psi in the front. These 15" M/T's stick like glue on the street. I cant wait to get to the track where I can heat them up a bit before leaving the line.
