I resemble that remark, and when I drive my Camaro I always drive it like I stole it. I am very young at heart and have been a gearhead all my life.

Not saying your choice is a wrong one. You work hard for your money, spend it the way you want to. However, studies show the younger generations really don't care about driving, and college is now costing 25k+ a year, so it makes sense.
Sooo true! One of the reasons that I haven't started any major mods yet... we're helping support my little sister thru law school. Also, my car had issues when we first got her and was in the shop for a good 20+ days when she was brand spanking new (we're just about to hit 4k miles).... waiting to see if she's going to be a good girl in the long run.

I'm super friendly when it comes to cars, grew up in a racing family. Not much of a rice burner person, but other than that I'll talk, share and learn from everyone.

I always see the same 4 Camaros driving to and from work almost everyday. 2 Black ones, a white one and a crystal red metallic one. Saw one of them pulled over by po-po recently, gave him the solidarity wave. Of course I see a lot of Camaros around East Texas, but those others, it is almost a daily thing. I do wonder if they are on here but wouldn't now how to find out.
Let me put the word out here,
Camaro drivers in East Texas who drive on hwy 80 between Big Sandy and Longview frequently, Are you on the boards ? If so lets hang out! Could have used a Camaro buddy last week when I was changing to a new Hurst short throw shifter. Always good to have a second pair of hands for most mods and another opinion when thinking up new ones!
Thanks!

I wonder this all the time! I have my username on the back windshield of my car. And I'm pretty tempted to buy on of those Camaro5.com stickers as well. I feel some women drivers aren't as friendly as compared to the guys driving. If I'm driving and see another Camaro, and a guy is driving it, I'll get a wave or nod or something like that. But you don't see many people my age, 18 (soon to be 19) driving a Camaro.

I've always meant to look for a Camaro5 sticker preferably with a yellow 5, but I can't bare the thought of something "sticking" to my car. Plus I may find out how annoying other car-stalkers like me are!

I work nights now, so no waving. There is a new red 1LE in "our" area, you should check it out.

Were sensitive because some dweeb heads think they are all well to do driving a V8 or because automatics aren't (real) transmissions. And yes v8s do sound better than a v6 but it takes the ear of a car freak such as ourselves to figure that. I don't think everyone revs their engine 24/7. Well us "six bangers" could've just as easily bought a used ss for the exact same price. But some of us have other priorities like buying $60,000 suburbans and trucks to use for the family. And I do enjoy my 323 hp while still making 28 mpg!

Now let's get back on topic. Yes I do wonder if any camaro drivers are on Camaro5 and I would like to give a courteous wave or pm to anyone I see. Whether it's a v6 or v8, ls or z/28, coupe or convertible, 16 year old driver or 86 year old driver(I would laugh though), deep magenta or red rock even though I'm not a fan of the magenta! Lol
