Makes sense. I have the GPI SS1 (LS3 version), and I definitely lost a little down low..but my god, the gains up top were amazing. She basically comes alive 3500+

A lot of people have very good results with what people call a 'baby cam'. Add to that the benefits of running a lighter spring and having a valvetrain that requires less maintenance, drivability, etc. I would consider going with a smaller cam if I was able to keep my lope the way it is. But I wouldn't want to give up that top end.

I may not get the chop chop, but the idle and tone will be far different from stock I am sure. He can probably tune a little bit in as well.

I just hope he can adjust for the intake manifold to gain a few more ponies and torque. I do hear they really increase the throttle response vs. cam and stock intake.

It will all be gravy to me though, since I haven't had a car with these characteristics before. I will want more in the end though, Im sure

Are you doing an underdrive pulley too? On the 2010/2011 cars it's a proven 8 rwhp gain. I snagged a used one off here for $150 with belts.

I hadn't thought of that. I am vaguely aware of them, but heard mixed reviews about longevity concerns.

From the guys I've seen on here there aren't too many issues, might have to increase idle a bit, but that's likely it. When the cam is put on you have to remove the thing, so there isn't any increase in install costs.

I run a Powerbond UDP on my LS3 setup with no issues. I also have an electric water pump.
