Any sponsors, feel free to send me a PM with what deals y'all have going now.
Thanks again guys

Go with the 1 7/8" dynatechs, CAI intake and the SCT tuner. Great value, even better customer service, and guranteed happiness!!!

WELCOME!
I agree the stock exhaust has to go. One of the 1st mods in my opinion should be the exhaust. Check for sound clips.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21289

Personally, I enjoy that clip of the cherry bomb exhaust. It has a unique growl/rumble to it and it doesn't sound like it will be overpoweringly loud. I have my mufflers cut off with an x-pipe in place of the H-pipe. I think my resonators were cut off too. Its nice and loud and aggressive enough for me. Good luck and let us know whatcha get!

can't wait to get this ordered and let you guys know how it turns out. I am sure I will love the combo of LTs CAI and tune as a good foundation for my start to my wife's car. (Or mine. Just don't tell her. Lol)

Also, forgot to ask. With this first upgrade that I am doing, should I go ahead and upgrade my throttle body while I am doing everything else. What do you guys think.
Thanks again

Might as well. If you get everything from one place you'll prob get a better price.

Everyone has an opinion on headers. I've used Kooks, ARH and I've had both Dough Thorley and BBK on my Camaro.

If you are looking at staying around 600rwhp, go with something around the 1.75" family. Over 600 > 800, go 1 7/8". 800+ go 2" headers.

No point spending more money on a part than you need too.

I know I won't be going over 500 HP so I don't have that to worry about. Lol
I have decided to go with the Janetty racing 415 HP kit that comes with LP headers, high flow cats, CAI, and tune. Seems like the best bang for the buck.

'Sounds like a good plan to me.

Should be a good choice.

What about ceramic coating the headers? Are you going to add it before installing?

Haven't really decided. I have heard it really doesn't help much other than the cosmetic aspect to it. The cost is $250 more and it will increase the time it takes to get to me. I am pressed on the time I have to get it to me and installed. I want to give this to my wife on the 30th. I am open for suggestions though.

Before I got my XS Power LT Headers and 3" Catback, I was looking at the Borla S-Type Catback system. Thats what I really wanted to get, but I got a better deal on headers and exhaust, so I went for that instead! I'd recommend headers for sure!

I did them for cosmetics. It'll cost you more time and effort down the road to put your car up while you take your headers off, wait the week or so to get them coated, and then re-install. Right now you can just have them coated while you still use the factory setup.

Personally, I would wait if you have to. She is going to be just as excited with or without headers. However, you make your decsions soon you might still be able to get it all done.

Just so you can see a difference coated or not, here is a picture of what a set of ARH look like after installing. Then you can see the nice finish the coating has. That coating look remains for a long time.

Those look great. I guess I need to ask Ted how fast he can get them to me if I get them coated. Thanks for the pics.
Also, do I need to let Ted know I am also installing a new TB and a 160 thermostat when he is doijg my custom tune. I found a guy selling them both off of his car. He has only put 600 miles on the two and wants 160 shipped for them. Do you think it would be a good idea to add these while I do the headers and everything else.
Thanks again

IMO the borla S type has the best sound ..pair that with a CAI intake and its great. But if you plan on adding headers later it might be too loud but to be honest once she gets the nice sound shell love it. Congrats on the new toy
