If y'all don't mind a guy from Montana catching up with you guys along the way I might do so. When the final plans are made keep us southern folks in mind. I'm always up for a good road trip.

I am almost ready to quit my job just to make this tripbut I don't think Myrna would like that idea, I head back to Mother Russia on the 13th, so take lots of pictures and be sure to enjoy your selves but play safe at the same time so we can all get together next summer.

I have two things going against me for that weekend.
1) Our company year end is Sept 30th, so it will probably be pretty busy at that time.
2) There's a Stamps game on Saturday.

I also have two things going for me for that weekend.
1) I absolutely love driving our car whenever I can.
2) They probably have TV's in Montana, right? Maybe even TSN?

So I went down with a few buddies and did some of these roads this weekend, great time. Funny though, on saturday we did a stretch of super tight stuff that was probably about 120 kms and the stang guys were getting road sick from non-stop turning. haha. It was pretty tiring though, lot of concentrating for sure.

We also went around glacier to come back and road was good from south park entrance to Essex, from Essex to the reserve has just been finished fresh paving and gaurd rails, then road back to alright. However, the twisty shortcut link did have about 4-5 sections ~ 20-30m long with llight gravel which they still haven't paved and about 5-6 new sections of the road dropping from excessive water runoff it looks like which were never there before. You do have to slow right up and go over them. Keep in mind your only in maybe 2nd gear for how twisty this stuff is. imo and the other cars with me it was worth it still to take that route. Just sayin.

We did go through Carway border, Won't do that again. 1/2 hour line of Lethbridge/Calgary people returning. The Castle crossing is never that busy. And the Carway crossing is straight and BORING. It does mean I can't report on the road condition though to the Castle crossing which is about a 15 minute stretch of twistyness.

Looks like I will have all the info for the hotels later today and I'll post it then..........Someone had the idea of meeting a little early on the 16th to avoid night driving in a area thats known to have a few animals so would meeting at 3 on the 16th work for everyone? and can anyone recomend a good spot to get together in the S.E. of Calgary as I live out of town I might not pick the best spot.

The parking lot for the movie theatre is probably the best bet.

We could meet at my house. I bet my neighbors would really love me after that!! Especially after each and every one of us does a burnout to leave . OK, maybe not. But I'm in Copperfield, so anywhere in the deep South is good for me if I can make it.

Please let me know what you guys think and if this will work for you, also from talking to these hotels I would recomend making reservations soon

Updated Cruise Itinerary

Friday September 16
-Meeting South Calgary (shawnessy area) for 3pm if everyone can swing an early Friday
-traveling south through Crowsnest Pass, maybe Franks Slide for some pictures(or anywhere else that sounds good)
-seeing as it would be nice to get to Eureka before dark maybe Fernie A&W for a quicker supper
-because it is a smaller community I cannot guarantee we will all be able to stay at the same place
-Main Accommodations in Eureka will be at Graves Creek Cabins, http://www.gravecreekcabins.com/ I've reserved the large family cabin so we have a spot to congregate. To reserve a cabin call 1-406-882-4929 and let them know your with the Camaro5 group the Cabins are $89 a night and if we end up taking them all we will receive a 10% discount. The owner is the sole worker as of right now so you may have to leave a message and she will call you back but she has blocked off the night of the 16th for Camaro5 members only
-Back up Accommodations in Eureka are at the Ksanka Inn http://www.ksankainn.com/ and are $69 for the night let them know you are with the Camaro5 group and they will try their best to put us together.

Saturday September 17
-Breakfast @ Cafe Jax http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cafe-J...app_2309869772
-some awesome cruising around Montana, still ironing out exact route and lunch and picture spots
-Accommodations @ BigMountiann Lodge http://www.bigmountainlodgewhitefish.com/ in Whitefish they have given us a group rate of $99 for the night which includes continental breakfast mention you are with the Camaro5 group to get this rate. This hotel also has a pool, waterside & 2 outdoor hot tubs so don't forget your speedo's call 1-800-888-4479 to reserve and get the Camaro5 rate
-Great Northern Bar & Grill http://www.greatnorthernbar.com/ is highly recommended in Whitefish. It looks like a fairly easy going place and has bands on the weekends might be a good place for supper

Sunday September 18
-Breakfast @ hotel
-through glacier park to home (still narrowing down route/places to stop & eat)

If you don't mind traveling south of Whitefish a bit Bigfork is a cool town in Montana (right off of Flathead Lake). If anybody has any Montana questions let me know- I've lived in Montana my whole life. Hopefully I can catch up with y'all along the way.
