"The median age of a Corvette owner has risen from 54 to 61 during the past 10 years...." See link below for source & more details.
This seems to indicate that the people buying Corvettes in their 20s thirty years ago are the same people buying in their 40s ten years ago and buying now in their 50s. But, they're not being replaced by younger buyers. If that demographic trend continues, eventually there will be no more Corvette buyers left to support building the car. Harley-Davidson has the same issue. http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/the-e...173431426.html |

Turned 60 today.
Got my first Corvette, a 2009 C6 coupe, in Nov 2011. Spur of the moment thing. Dad had died on my birthday the prior year, so I settled the estate, took my $ and bought the car. Half of it was because I wanted a sports car and half because I knew it would have put a huge smile on his face to say "I bought my kid a Corvette". |

28. Loved the look of this car so much I just needed to have it, major car fiend here. I live in the city so was able to rent my basement out which pays for the car note! Had to justify the cost, felt so irresponsible but as many have said you only live once and you must enjoy it!

I've had vettes all but a few years since I was 21. That was in 1981, and I was one of the younger vette club members. I've had them so long now, I'm in the middle aged crowd. LOL |

68 here will get my C7 within the next
few days. This will be my fifth corvette which included a 63 split window. It was nice to own but not fun to drive. Drove the C7 and got the WOW factor had to get one. Age is just a number. |

Pushing 63. The C7 is my 4th Corvette. Bought my C7 coupe last December as a retirement present to myself but then I didn't retire. Problem is that the C7 vert has really caught my attention so now I am dreaming of having two C7s. Is that greedy, or what?

Just turned 46
Had the good fortune of owning the following so far.... 2004 Millenium Yellow Z06 2004 Commemorative Z06 2006 Daytona Sunset Z06 Guess what's next.... If you haven't it's the C7 Z06....lol....although with current prices I'll be looking for a garage queen in a few years.... For me it's been a lot of hard work but well worth it. It's a great feeling to drive one of these cars and to be part of the corvette community! |
