I posted in the Challenger thread and update here as well:
I have spent 3 days in the Charger Hellcat, I am not allowed to give any driving impressions or photos due to a media embargo until after next week. I will update as soon as embargo is lifted.

Well, I guess I can link this since I technically didn't post it. Damn Fox News!

What is the target audience? Those that have $65k to spend on a sedan will likely not be shopping Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Hyundai, Kia, VW, Acura, Lincoln, Buick, Infinity. Those that have $65k to spend on a performance car will likely choose something sportier. So it's going to be the person that favors acceleration over handling, loves Dodge, has $65k to spend, needs space for 5 passengers, and requires a factory backed warranty. In what way? Competitors have been offering significantly more power, performance and handling than Dodge Charger for years and years. The appeal here is for power/$. As I said above, people that have this kind of money have many more options for achieving performance goals. $65k sedans are ubiquitously luxury sedans in the current market. Going to take a special buyer to put $65k into a Dodge not named Viper.

Auto only and I would think that it will be very close to the same as the Challenger and a bit more weight as well, so I'm sure you will be saying the same about the Charger as you have been about the Challenger.

Much like the way the Challenger is shaping up, it looks like the Scat Pack Charger may be the big seller.
I forget which website it was on, but they were saying it's a SS (sedan) killer, and from the stats, I would have to agree. |

As I said above, I can not comment on handling as I do not want to violate the embargo put in place by the PR department.

While that's high hp, I'm not impressed.
They just put a s/c on the biggest engine and did nothing else to the car. Its paying for a high HP machine that isn't refined i.e., magnetic shock absorbers. I'd rather get something with less HP but it is more technological. Still, Dodge wins. |

Looking forward to next week. SS sedan looks too boring to me. If I am unable to keep my camaro ss and buy a hellcat charger I will def get the scat pack version instead in that b5 blue or plum crazy if offered for the 2016s
