There has yet to be a direct comparison between the two, so we can’t say that for sure.

Closest Camaro in pictures to the GT350 is the ZL1.. Maybe they are hiding a new engine in there.. LEL

The ZL1 is better than a GT350 in almost every way, so there’s no need to benchmark that stang. I wonder if the “ZL1” is a Z28 test mule of some sort, but it wouldn’t make sense being we haven’t seen another one testing on track. Either way, the refreshed mustang has some tough competition coming its way.
This is just a thought, but I think Chevy would be successful in offering a 5.3L V8 Camaro with a low redline for about $33,000. That truck engine is cheap and reliable, and I know it’ll outrun an R/T. Heck, toss in a 5-speed manual option to match the engine’s low-rpm characteristics. |

Kinda, but SS 1LE didn't win (spoiler alert). Held its own though against some very very expensive high roller cars: https://youtu.be/R4f4q52J9qY |

Good catch. There appears to be at least two different upper grilles on these cars.

they are just making more panther camaros again. the camaro always resembled some kind of cat or aquatic animal.
1967 - 1969 - the real muscle car 1970 - 1982 - hammer headed shark 1983 - 1992 - tiger shark 1993 - 1997 - basically a redesign of the 3rd gen, but with a ufo body. 1998 - 2002 - catfish 2010 - 2015 - basic 1969 redesign, but with the zl1 looking like a tiger. 2016 - 2018 - black panther 2019 - whatever - another facelifted panther, or leopard. |

One thing is for sure, the mustang can run 12.0 in rain. So, the SS better a 11.7 seconds in automatic 10 speed with no rain, if the king is gonna win this race.
