My roller skates are in but not on yet. Will let you know. I am going to ask them to keep the ceramics that are on there now so they can be put back on just in case.

Have 2100miles on it and it started squeaking recently at slow speeds. High pitch squeal. Its not to audible thou. Kinda like scraping fingers on chalk board. I'll wait a while more and pound on them a bit.

Yea she startd squeaking about 4,000 miles ago for me and its gotten so bad that I instinctively cringe when I hear the noise. Takes all the joy out of driving the car when I have to listen to that the whole time.

I'm don't have brembos either and mine do it kinda consistantly when I first start driving. After awhile of braking the sound goes away but will start back up after the car has cooled down. Beats me and is annoying as all heck!

Mine squeaked when new. Very irritating. Went to a road course track day at about 2000 miles. Got them good and hot. Haven't heard a squeak since. I think they just need to be used HARD to get them to break in. Since the track day, they only squeak a bit after I wash it when cleaning off the surface rust. Its a muscle car and just gets better and better with "spirited" use. Just be safe out there.

Mine starting a slight squeal while braking when going fairly slow. Not happening every stop - intermittent. Drives me crazy. I'm thinking a brand new car with 6000 miles on it shouldn't do this. I have a 2SS/RS M6..

I did try braking hard (no slide/skid-nothing radical). Still the slight squeal. Haven't taken it in for service as I can't "make" it happen all the time. They would probably just think it's some stupid girl hearing things..

Mine dont squeal, but they do make a little noise when coming to a complete stop, like they are grabbing really well. But....they only have 300 miles on them.

Mine started to squeal whenever stopping and picked up a rotational squeek below 50kmh =( They replaced the front pads and it went away for like 2 days. Came back worse then it was before.

Well my Mustang is my daily driver. So the Camaro does not get as much action so rust forms on the brakes so ya just until the brakes warm up.

I was on the phone with Chevrolet yesterday about my brake problem and the customer service rep lady gave me Chevrolet's official answer to the squeaking brakes.

"The squeaking is normal to hear from the brake pads as they are being broken in. This sound will go away once the brake pads are broken in, which is after roughly 7,500 miles."

The one thing I don't get with this "official statement" is if they, Chevrolet, knows that the squeaking is the brake pads being broken in then why would they have a TSB telling service techs to replace the brakes when a customer has this problem? Doesn't replacing the brakes just reset the 7,500 mile clock. The best solution would be for Chevrolet to give us used break pads, preferably ones that have like 10,000 miles under their belt. Now this solution is perfect except for the tiny factoid that brake pads are essentially dead after 7,500 miles, and if you showed a tech your pads after 7,500 miles he would replace them. Again resetting the 7,500 miles of squeaking.

Squealing brakes

I'm at 6500 miles and mine squeal daily. They appear to squeal more after a full day of driving. It's a light squeal but can be very irritating.

Got mine back from the shop today. New pads and remove weights it said. There is a TSB # 10-05-023-002 if that helps anyone. I'll see if if the squeek stays away.
