Running a rotofab . Have no problems with it . Difference between others are splitting hairs . Roto fab kit is nicely built

My car already had a K&N Typhoon intake when I bought it. I'd prefer a black tube instead of a polished tube and also a dry filter over wet. But I feel changing intakes would be pretty pointless. If I had to buy one though I'd probably go with Cold Air Inductions or Rotofab.

When I had my 2009 Mustang GT, I did a lot of research on CAIs. The bottom line, at least for 05-09 Mustangs, was that they added very little to the over all dyno curves. They look cool, but (again for Mustangs) added little at the end of the day. My 2013 has a stock airbox and my 2015 has some aftermarket CAI, whose brand name escapes me at the moment. It came with the car when I bought it.

Bottom line for me - if it comes with the car, great, if not, I'm not shelling out the Benjamins for one.

Thank you very much for your feedback. That is a very good Cold Air Kit. Unfortunately only available from GM.

2011 SS/RS
K&N TYPHOON (oiled). Bought this one because I knew my Camaro was going to see a lot of shows and cruises in its future, not because of HP. Wanted something good looking under the hood.
PROS- Looks great, very easy to install, very cool intake sound. And I believe I got it from Phastek.
CONS- none.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I will bring this up in out next sales meeting offering the RotoFab Washer Relocation kit as a packaged deal.

I'm in the minority I'm sure but I opted for a drop-in k&n filter. Stock air box isn't pretty but seems to perform just fine. My car is still stock though. 👍

Nothing wrong with that sir!! The drop in filter works just as well as the cone filters we have.

I would love to have something that leaves more room under the hood for a expansion tank or meth setup. Something like the RPM intake. I heard from a couple sources that this setup is hard to tune for because of the length, but I'm wondering if the 5" diameter has something to do with it.
Also hard to justify the cost for what it is.

Bingo - it's the cross section, and not the length. 5" intakes are great for flow, but the airspeed is so low at idle that tuning becomes challenging with an MAF. Speed density tuning solves for that, but many tuners are not going to take the extra steps to do that. Not all setups really justify the need for a 5" intake either. A really hot NA combo, or a PD blower certainly can see the benefit, but your run of the mill bolt on or cammed setup doesn't stand to pick up a whole bunch on a 5" intake vs. a good quality 4" setup.
