And I would think that when the ladies get in the car wearing heels the sill plates stand a chance of getting scratched also.

The spot is always going to take some kicks and get dirty. The idea is to let the vinyl take the kicks and leave the undersurface Pristine.

Black duct tape would work also as well, a little less elegant, but cut right with a razor blade and I’m sure most people wouldn’t even notice it.

I have used duct tape over painting tape. Duct sticks too strong and can leave residue from heat. Over painting tape allows it to be easily removed.

Another reason I'm happy i got a 2SS..... i use the seat memory exit feature so the seat slides back after i turn the car off..... makes scuffing that sill on entry and exit a complete non issue.

Yup, looks like a better idea than a protector for $100+

If she’s got nice legs, a short skirt and high heels, I’ll live with ANY damage that may come of a scuff caused by her trying to look good for me.

True that, although it doesn't help with the passenger side. That said, Chutzpah has a point there

Has anyone put PPF over the lighted CAMARO plates for protection?

Thanks

Yes. I did it with the sill plates off as my wife had bought them for me back when I had my 1ss.

Did u just do the top of the lighted sill or did you cover it completely.

Worried about stretching around the corners.
