@OP;
If you want a "Track" car, go for GS, but if you want an awesome DD that you can track as well, go for ZL1; However, as a previous owner of a Z06, I will tell you, driving/owning a "Corvette", is at a different level and class than a "Camero". |

One thing that people don't consider off the bat is the flexibility u have to negotiate at the dealer when it comes down to some of these special edition cars.
Most likely most dealers will have some type of mark up on the zl1 or le1, just like they did or continue to do with the z28. Making the car a jewel of the dealer. If you go to the right Chevy dealer, you will see some great deals on vettes. Some to the point that will sale at invoice price, which will mean that $$$ per $$$$ the vette gets you most performance. If you happen to be a car enthusiast that has to have a limited edition vehicle , no matter what you compare things with you will always have your choice. |

The Corvette Grand Sport starts at $66,445 ......
My hope is the ZL1 will be lower than this and I would, therefore, go for the ZL1. |

I had the same dilemma. The ZL1 will be a great Camaro, however the GS will be a great Corvette. Add the Z07 package and 1.2 G's, braking...unbelievable!

I think they positioned the GS pricing nicely between the other models. I grabbed this from the other Vette forum. I still think the new ZL1 will come in around $64k.

Too bad the engine isn't forged/bullet proof. I would entertain pricing on one and throw a nice Procharger P-1SC-1, Kenne Bell or Whipple on it. lol (All with a custom tune of course, to get the maximum that I could out of the unit/output on pump gas. Except for the Whipple, I'd use Whipple's tuning as it's the best for that unit.) |

Might as well well just buy the zo6 then, call it a day and have a warranty.

And more than any other reason, if you buy the ZL1 you won't have to constantly answer the "Why didn't you just buy the Z06?" |

ZL1 for me. Always been a camaro guy. Corvettes are nice don't get me wrong just been always attracted to camaros rather than vettes.

I'm not sure who posted that picture but a Z06 doesn't weigh 3350 lbs.
