Goodluck tramtwo! I'm in the same spot where a rattle is causing my knock sensors to suck some guts outta the car. I think I found the cause though ... a loose baffle in the passenger side exhaust muffler.

Good luck finding it. I guess I'd get the car up in the air and go all over the underneath with a rubber mallet and see what you can find.

A good thump with a rubber mallet can be revealing. Also if you can consistantly duplicate the sound, especially as lower speeds, having someone standing outside of the car while you drive by near them may help. I found a squeaky bushing near the front of the car that I was sure was right underneath me this way.

The question becomes is just how much will the car try to adjust, I guess there is a limit to where the timing can be set. |

Ok checked for hidden rattling rocks, there are none that I could fine.
While under there I took this photo. Is this normal? |

As long as the bolts are tight I don't see anything out of normal.
That link is meant to tweak a bit. Some have loosened up and made a noise. But I don't think there's much chance that a rattle at the end links will be read by the KR at the engine. |

Maybe the mods should move this to the suspension section. |
