this was sooo ODD to me when we got stationed in New Jersey....Ive ALWAYS pumped my own, even overseas...but NJ, nope..but then again, Jersey had Wawa's...so I didnt complain too much..

...and, I might add, I still don't have to pump my own gas when it's the granddaughter and I out for a cruise. She always drives when we go out for a run and also insists on pumping the gas.

Havnt seen a full service gas station around here since the early 90s , so yeah...it's just you ��

Yup, being a Jersey guy, I stand and get out of the car while getting 93 in my powerful V6

but after a while, you get to know the attendants but no, sorry, you're not paranoid.

Almost always full service unless it's midnight at a 24 hour station. I usually have to pump my own because the attendant is asleep. If I'm in a rush and the station is packed I'll also do it myself. Rarely does an attendant say anything.

I've gotten used to asking only for 93 because Sunoco's premium is 91.

Haha, Oh we're not full service in the 1970's sense of the word. Nobody checking our oil or filling our tires with air. Just pumping of gas and even then if you pay cash, you still usually have to go inside.

Pumping my gas is always the time I get at least one compliment on my car. Then I usually get a thumbs up when I start her up and she roars to life.
