My heart would love a Z/28. My pocketbook, not so much.

I will be very glad to see some vs. tests from the experts AND the real world (once the first z/28's are delivered). Would be nice to see an American designed "muscle car" beat a GTR, GT3 or any of the "refined" cars in their own habitat.

That shouldn't be hard to do.

Cool comparison. Though I still think its silly to compare two cars with a 40k price differential unless you are in the 150k-500k range

I don't think adding 50hp to the Z/28 is going to beat a GTR (in a 1/4 mile). Those cars have a phenomenal suspension system and have way less drivetrain loss.

Now the first owner to FI a Z/28. That would be frightening. A Camaro that is super fast in a drag AND track?

Of course, I wonder if that spinning tire issue would crop back up if you added a few hundred more hp/tq to a Z/28...

Dang! I didn't think about all that. Let me cancel my order

See you on track sucker, or do you just drive a keyboard with tissue and Vaseline holders?

PS- that was a funny photo comparison!

Z/28 with the Lingenfelter 630 HP package would be ideal in my opinion. Plus, you wouldn't upset the weight balance of the car by the additional weight and mass of a supercharger.

A good article. I think that Chevy is smart building the Z28 purer and simpler - no 4wd, turbos, automatic - and yet it doesn't come off as cheap, just purpose built. Its an absolutely credible track car in every respect, which makes it cool to own for people that can afford $75K. Very refreshing alternative to techno cars like the GTR.

Correct, but for $1150 more, I did. Ask me how I feel about that.

or navigation,

Why did the ______________ lose the Daytona 500? He stopped to ask for directions.

It's hard to get lost on the track. As for street driving, I refer you to the smart phone in my hand, and here:

and looking out of the car is a little like peering out of a WWII bunker.

That was funny. One point.

Thumbs down

What a FAIL blog from Yahoo! You mean to tell me they could not replace the wheel stud and finish the comparison properly? What a joke! :no idea:

They could have delayed publishing until they got the problem sorted, but did not - unbelievable.

Agreed, and with a ProClip mount for that NAV device, it's perfect, if only GM would ship Camaro CarPlay integration!
