Still haven't sold my 1LE. I don't think I'm asking too much for it but ill be damned if I sell it for some of the low ball offers I've been getting. I just can't let it go for under 30. Its only got 24k miles on it. The wife is getting more accustomed to the idea of me keeping it so thats good but it would be nice to have one less car payment. Glad to see how GM is advancing the 1LE and keeping with the tradition of outperforming much more expensive cars.
Yeah, thanks. Yes GM has been doing a great job with chassis development. I still think the 5Gen is a more attractive design.

The Toy Finally Arrived!

I'll post more pics after a good wash n wax. Of note, the fit and finish are very good with very, very minor orange peel. Delivered with only 2 miles. The hold up was a lack of car-carriers available. If you haven't seen this color AB it's beautiful and changes as you walk around the car. This is gonna be fun!

Oh by the way perfect weather for the race this week...GO CORVETTE TEAM!!!

Well if this was the case then it failed as the Z28 - despite being a great car - did not sell well at $75k - there was value - but not to their typical customer. Hence new cars still available for sale in late 2016!

Will do, needing to polish and wax first.

Here's a pic in the garage with its little brother.

Checked out a few cars yesterday. Just for fun.

First went to look at the new Infiniti Q60. A very wonderful car it turns out. GM has nothing that competes with this car. The ATS coupe is not in the same league as far as the interior and overall refinement. Visibility is much better than a Camaro too. But it suffers from two problems the Camaro has. No rear seat leg room and if you can believe it, a smaller trunk. Golfers need not apply. I did not get a chance to drive it though so a full impression could not be made. But it is a very nice car in the showroom.

Second went and looked at a Cadillac CT6. I'm a sucker for a full size sedan these days. This may be the most wonderful car GM has ever made................but it doesn't feel like it. Tons of features and tech available and very comfortable. Did take a test drive and it just...........wasn't........ right. Our ATS feels more taught and buttoned up on the road. And for some reason the trunk! It's far smaller than the SS. Where the SS can swallow a golf bag sideways between the wheel wells the CT6 can't. A really great car. But doesn't "feel" like it will sway a MB or BMW buyer to me. But I would be really happy to have an AWD 400 HP sedan in my garage and for the price of a CTS V-sport you can have a much nicer car in most regards. I hope it does well for Cadillac. Now with that rumored 4.2L TT V8 under the hood...........

Before I got the GS I was planning on changing and adding a few things, now that I have it I'm very impressed with it stock. However I will be painting the front splitter and spats Carbon Flash to match the rest of the black on the car. It's strange that they don't match these items with the rest of the Carbon Flash on the car. I'm also fond of a cue-ball shifter and maybe some nice forged wheels.

I need to mention the hill assist system. I thought originally it was an unnecessary item, I mean I've driven manuals for many years, however it works great on my very steep driveway. I really like it, no need to wear out the clutch.

Looks fantastic. Is there any pearl or metallic in the paint? I am sure that the pics do not do it justice. I agree, bare plastic parts leave me scratching my head on these cars, should be painted from the factory. I noticed that the wheels do not have the center caps.
Looking forward to more pics.

^Thanks! It has a metallic in the paint. It moves from a very dark blue in low light to a royal with a slight purplish tint in the sun. Cool color!
I have the standard center caps, dealer didn't put them on.

BTW nice Z/28!
