Number 3, I know you harp on the car being a great overall car to appeal to the masses to keep the Camaro in production. I think most consumers that bought or were interested in the 5th gen won't have an issue with the "problems" of the 6th gen, such as viability (appears to be improved), trunk space, rear seat room, etc. However the vast improvements of everything on the interior of the car will be a huge plus, everything has been largely refined. The jury is still out on the styling of the car and I suppose we will see how the market really reacts once we start getting sales numbers in.

The performance is certainly there, the one issue is the price of a 2SS which I suspect (like the 5th gen) dealers will primarily be stocking. I'm not certain how smart most consumers are in terms of *really* comparing standard options within the segment. I think the Camaro has the straight line performance nailed, between the weight loss and the power increase it is very impressive. I am eager to see if/what GM responds with for a HiPo car. Logic would point to a ZL1/Z28 blend, à la C7 Z06. I really do not like this and pray that this isn't the case. I'm far from impressed with what has been going on with the C7 Z06. Maybe it's just bad press, but the fact that just about every auto reviewer has had some sort of issue speaks volumes to me.

Side note, Road & Track set a 1:58.14 in the new Viper ACR at NCM. They also set a 1:58.25 in the Z06, so perhaps there's hope yet. But damn that new ACR is MEAN!

So these Z/28 parts start showing up at my shop. We open them. Take pictures and occasionally joke around. One of my clients texted Joe he was going to use a few of them. So they are finally all here, well the parts we were going to install were here. We start installing. Wait where is the grille. I know it was here. I am sure it was here. There are a lot of boxes in a Z/28 upgrade...

We'll use the old grille and replace it later. Where is that blanking grille? No way we threw it out. Impossible. You don't think we threw it out, do you? Hmmm, maybe? No way. Let's look...

I have high hopes sales will prove my worries to be unfounded. But it is clear from the reviews, consistently, that the better coupe might be the Mustang while the Camaro is the far better performance car. And that may lead to the best Z cars EVER.

We have new Z stuff on the way..

...and speaking of Z cars, this was in my driveway today. We escorted Mindz and the 2016 1SS down to the Space Center.

Absolutely my favorite color in matte black...
