You're fine bro no hard feelings here. I would say 100 octane at least but my motor is 9.5:1 compression so not really worried about running 93 pump gas. I know meth is good stuff just easier for me to pull up to a pump. If I want more switch tunes and put in 100+octane and be done but honestly my car doesn't see the track much and 740rwhp is more than enough on the street.

I agree, I only have 3 places that I buy race gas from and right now the closest one is about 20 miles away. It can be a pain if I had to use race gas all of the time but how often do you need more than 750 hp? That is the beauty of a seperate tune, I can run around in town on 91 pump gas and not have to buy torco or meth until I roll in at the drag strip or the road course or the texas mile... Then pull out a can of race gas and plug in the tuner and bam ready to rip.

Interesting to hear both sides of the fence. I completely understand the reasons and effectiveness for methanol. I once had an long and detailed conversation with Austin Coil at a Super Chevy show. He talked about running nitrous through roots superchargers and how the difference in runner lengths of an intake from center cylinders to cylinders on the corners of a V8 block, the difference in distance from a throttle body to cylinder and details all related to induction. His opinion was that there was no way to insure things going through a roots, twin screw supercharger that were atomized in the air charge could be dispersed equally. Long story. Also had similar theories that I can't do justice with about forced air from the centrifugals. Anyway, I was just wondering if this was a observation by any of the pros? I know I have seen more than one motor go that was running nitrous through a roots blower. I have also seen a motor live that had twin turbos blowing into a Maggie with nitrous . However it was a unique injection method that I'm not at all familiar with. Ultimately , octane , reliably and consistently delivered seems to be the goal. I see meth as a system similar to many nitrous kits. They are good but they do fail. Everything eventually breaks but two things mechanical give twice the odds as one. Just my two cents. Still intrested to hear from the guys who really see this in large volumes.
