Mine is a daily driven car that sees some track time. I have had my whipple on for about 60k miles at 13 lbs and have no issues. My car has 121k miles. Is your car a auto or manual? Before I went to the 3.625 pulley I ran the 3.875 and made 670/585 hp/tq.

Yes it comes with a boost a pump, fuel rails and injectors. You won't need a pump until you get past 650 rwhp. Depending on where you are in NY, Ted at Jannetty racing is supposed to be one of the better 5th gen builders/tuners or if you want a road trip Steve Williams (tuned by frost) is in Richmond and I hear he is the best for tuning a LS car. I havnt used either but I have several friends who have

As others have mention. Go to a good tunner and have the set up checked. If everything was done correctly and you don't completely beat the crap out of it, you should be fine.

guys thanks for all the feedback I am reading it and thinking about it and using all your info to make my decision

two questions.... (and don't laugh because I don't know much and these might be really dumb questions)

1 - my exhaust looks real black at the tailpipe and someone seen that and told me "it is running rich so don't worry about the tune" , is the black tailpipe a true sign it is running rich ???

2 - I told someone I was thinking about running the car on a dyno to check the tune and maybe change the pulley and he said "if you are going to re tune it you should switch to e85 and tune the car to run on e85" is setting it up to run on e85 better ???

Yes black exhaust is usually an indication of it running rich. That sometimes isn't necessarily a good thing, depending on how rich its running. Still its nto the greatest advice to give someone. I would have the AFR checked, and retuned if needed.

Switching to E85 will require you to spend a good amount of money. If your looking to get more power out of the car, E85 is a great way to do it. However there is no real reason based on your previous threads, for someone who is thinking of changing pulleys, to get less power, switching to E85 is going in the opposite direction.

I just thought maybe it was a better set up because it has higher octane and I always buy 93 but you never know if it is really 93, it could be 87 for all I know (if the gas station or vendor is shady) , I thought maybe the e85 would be better and more consistent

also after I got out there and raced a bunch of people I am rethinking going with less power lol , there are so many fast cars out there I may not wanna go lower anymore , I just don't want to be blowing an engine anytime soon , at first the 579 rwhp sounded like a lot and scary but now I am seeing by todays standards my car isn't even fast enough with that lol
