I know the A8 will have 2.77 gears, would going with say a 3.23 or so benefit the quarter mile time on these cars? Like going from a 3.23 to a 3.73 and so on did with the 5th gen?

If you could plant the power do not see why not. But really need to figure out what gear you will be in at the traps. Would suck to go lower just to shift 1 more time 150' before the lights.

Any one even know what rear GM is putting in the car?

The A8 has a 2.77.
